Oxide is built on a simple principle: your drive contents belong exclusively to you.

1. The Oxide Desktop Application (100% Local)

The Oxide desktop software runs completely locally on your Windows device.

• Zero disk telemetry: Oxide never uploads, transmits, or shares file names, folder hierarchies, disk sizes, file hashes, or any metadata from your drives.
• Zero background telemetry: There are no third-party tracking libraries, behavioral telemetry SDKs, or advertising monitors embedded in the binary.
• No network requirement: Once downloaded, Oxide requires no internet connection to scan drives, display treemaps, or inspect directories.

2. Website Transactions & Payments

When you purchase an Oxide license on this website:

• Payment Processing: Transactions are handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. Your payment card numbers and financial credentials are submitted directly to Stripe over encrypted connections and never pass through or touch our servers.
• Order Records: We receive standard transaction confirmation records (such as your customer email address, transaction timestamp, payment status, and order identifier) solely to authenticate your download access, provide customer support, and fulfill accounting requirements.

3. Web Infrastructure, Hosting & Email

Our website and static assets are hosted on Cloudflare (utilizing Cloudflare Workers static assets and the global Cloudflare edge network). Cloudflare may log ephemeral technical connection data (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL) strictly for DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, and platform security.

Our marketing website does not use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or third-party profiling scripts.

Customer support correspondence sent to support@oxidedisk.com is delivered via Cloudflare Email Routing forwarding directly to the seller's inbox.

4. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under UK GDPR and EU data protection frameworks), you have the right to inspect, correct, or request deletion of any customer support correspondence or transaction records we hold, subject to statutory accounting requirements.
